2022

Dance @ LLV is delivered by REDed (Raw Energy Dance Education) educators who work with our villagers through our competitive Jewel Show Troupe program and/or our Enhance program. The Enhance program focuses on technique, creativity, and exploration of dance.

Enhance Program (Technique and Exploration)  

The Dance Enhance program focuses on transforming our villagers into dancers through focusing on technique, flexibility, musicality, creativity, and the fun of dance. Our program runs each Monday afternoon.

Dance Enhance Minis – K-1 3.15- 4 pm (Theatre)

Year 2-6 – Hip Hop 3:15 pm – 4 pm (Dance Studio)

Year 2-6 Jazz 4-4:55 pm (Theatre)

Year 7+ Hip Hop 4-4:55 pm (Dance Studio)

Year 7+ Jazz 4:55 pm-5:50 pm (Dance Studio)

All dancers in the K-1 Dance group and Hip Hop program can expect in-school performance invitations throughout the year to inspire their focus and commitment to their inner performer and creativity.

Classes start: Monday 14th of February

Program Costs: Semester 1 dance fee total:  $237.00 + GST (no further costs). This covers Dance fees   $14.50 + GST per dancer per lesson (16 lessons) and Group Accident Cover: $5 + GST.
Competitive Troupes Supplementary Class: 25% discount off Dance Enhance lessons.
Creative and Active Kids Vouchers applicable (total: $300).

Jewel Competitive Show Troupes

Junior Show Troupe – Ruby Thursday (Dance Studio)
Junior Show Troupe – Diamond Wednesday (Theatre)
Senior Show Troupe – Emerald Friday (Dance Studio)
Senior Show Troupe – Sapphire Thursday (Theatre)
Senior Show Troupe – Opal Wednesday (Dance Studio)

LLV Competitive Show Troupes are by audition only. All Show Troupes compete in Sydney Eisteddfod, DanceLife Unite, and DanceSpec and at in-school performances. These troupes are ideally for the dancer who has some experience and is keen to expand both technically and competitively. The Opal troupe is aimed at the elite, high-level dancer. The main style of the troupe is contemporary/lyrical and theatre jazz. All show troupe dancers must attend a supplementary training class each week either with the LLV Dance Enhance program or at an external dance studio (a letter must be provided). Dance Troupe rehearsals will start on the week of the 14th of February 2022.

Each year there is a Dance intensive Saturday, where each Dance Troupe spends time learning their choreography. The dates for the 2022 Dance Intensive are:

• Ruby Troupe Sunday, March 20th 9.00-12.15pm
• Diamond Troupe Sunday, March 20th 12.45-4.00pm
• Opal Troupe Sunday, March 27th 9.00-12.15pm
• Emerald Troupe Sunday, March 27th 9.00-12.15pm
• Sapphire Troupe Sunday, March 27th 12.45-4.00pm

Program Costs: $750 + GST for the full year/commitment for the full year – cost may vary slightly. (includes lessons, costume purchase, competition entry fees, Group Accident Cover) Competitive Troupes Supplementary Class: 25% discount on Dance Enhance class fee Creative and Active Kids Vouchers applicable (total: $300).

Show Troupe Auditions

Elite dancers in Year 2 2022 are welcome to audition for the Junior Show Troupes and elite dancers in Years 5 and 6 2022 are welcome to audition for the Senior Show Troupes. For the audition, dancers will need to learn the dance in the audition video. The video will be released on Friday the 10th of December. For the audition dancers will need to wear all black activewear (majority black is fine if logos or branding is showing in another colour), jazz shoes if they have them otherwise,  barefeet is fine.

Audition Dates 2022

Students in Yr 7 and above: Thursday 10th of February 2022 – 7:40 am to 8:40 am in the Theatre

Students in Yr 2 – Yr 6 in 2022: Friday 11th of February 2022 – 8 to 9 am in the Theatre

Registration for Show Troupe Auditions and/or Dance Enhance

To register for the Dance Enhance program or Show Troupe auditions:

Go to www.dancestudio-pro.com/online/reded

1. Previous dance parents can simply log in. Email Bek on admin@reded.com.au if you need assistance retrieving your login details.
2. New dance parents will need to create a new profile. You will be able to add your student/s in this step.
3. Once logged in, click “Register”.
4. Select your school from the drop-down menu.
5. Select the “2022 Semester 1 Classes” Tab or “2022 Competition Dance Troupe Auditions” tab.
6. Dance Enhance: Select the class(es) by ticking the checkbox next to each class (you can scroll down to select classes for multiple students).
   Show Troupe Auditions: Select the correct audition time/s based on your student/s year group by ticking the checkbox (you can do this for multiple students at once, by scrolling down the page).
7. Click Submit.
8. Finalise your payment for Semester 1 (Dance Enhance program Only).
9. You will receive a confirmation email with all relevant information attached.
