Essential Apps for Parents

How we communicate with families

Lindfield Learning Village uses both Sentral and School Bytes to communicate with families. These applications consolidate information about your child’s activities, absences, payments and more.

School Bytes

School Bytes is the main hub for parent communication. It is used for making payments, signing permission slips, application for extended leave, accessing the school calendar and reading the school newsletter.

Log-in to the School Bytes portal  or:

Sentral

Sentral is primarily used for lodging absences and seeing an overview of daily attendance.

A link is sent to parents for booking student led conferences through Sentral.

For secondary students, parents will also be able to see the student timetable and teachers.

Log-in to the Sentral portal  or:

EdPotential (Kindy - Year 10)

EdPotential is a new live, continuous and accessible electronic reporting software that provides you with regular updates throughout the year about your child’s learning and growth.

Canvas (Year 3 - Year 12)

Parents and carers of students in Stages 2 to 6 can see the classwork and activities set by their educators in Canvas through their parent observer account.

To log in for the first time, go to the above link and set up a password using 'Forgot Password'. Your login will be your personal email address submitted in your students enrolment.

Log-in to the Canvas portal or:

Seesaw (Kindy - Year 2)

Students in Kindy and Stage 1 submit most of their work via Seesaw.

You can view your child’s work and learning outcomes via their Seesaw access. You can also view and comment on newsfeed style updates showing what’s going in your child’s class
