Policies

Our policies

Attendance and absences

Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options. In NSW, all children from the age of 6 are legally required to attend school or be registered for home schooling through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). All students must complete Year 10, or its equivalent.

Bring your own device

Lindfield Learning Village provides students access to computers as a means of enhancing their education. Students are also able to use their own devices while at school for educational purposes. Students wishing to use computers while at school are required to read and agree to abide by the guidelines detailed in the Agreement for the Use of Electronic Devices at LLV.  LLV’s policy, Student Device Specifications and Minimum System Requirements [link to document]contains detailed information to assist you with the purchase of a BYOD (bring your own device) in preparation for your child to start at Lindfield Learning Village. Please note the following information first: * You do not  need a BYO device for any child in Kindergarten, Year 1 or Year 2. We will have school-based devices for these children to use * You do not need to purchase a new BYO device for your child if they already have one which they are currently able to use successfully in a NSW Government school. Upon enrolment, students and parents must agree to * Please note the information in the attached documents on the importance of insuring your child's device. Unfortunately, the school cannot be held responsible for loss or damage. We will, of course be supporting you on teaching your child to be responsible for their device. The purchase of a sturdy carry case is highly recommended.

School frameworks (school rules)

As well as following the department’s operational policies, we have developed frameworks for our students in line with our school’s values and commitments.
